My Journey with Keto, Plant-Based Eating, and Raw Foods

As many of you know, I’m passionate about wellness and finding the right balance to live a healthy, vibrant life. After a lot of research, personal experimentation, and soul-searching, I’ve decided to embark on a new lifestyle journey that integrates ketogenic, plant-based, and raw food diets. I’m excited to share this journey with you, and I hope it inspires you to explore new ways of nourishing your body and mind.

Why This Change?

Like many of us, I’ve spent years trying to find the perfect diet that would not only help me maintain a healthy weight but also boost my energy levels, support mental clarity, and contribute to overall well-being. I've gained weight, I've lost weight. At my heaviest I weighed 274 pounds, now I'm down 53 pounds and am 5'10, 221 pounds as of today. I had gone down to 213 recently but quickly gained 8 pounds by not being disciplined in my diet. The truth is, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. What works best is often a combination of different approaches, tailored to our unique needs and goals.

For me, that combination involves rotating between a ketogenic diet, a plant-based week, and a 7-day raw food cleanse every month. This varied approach allows me to enjoy the benefits of each diet while avoiding the pitfalls of sticking to just one long-term.

The Plan: A 30-Day Cycle

Here’s a glimpse into my new 30-day cycle:

1. Ketogenic Diet (Weeks 1 and 4):

I start and end the month with a ketogenic diet, which focuses on high fats, moderate proteins, and low carbohydrates. This approach helps me maintain steady energy levels, supports weight management, and keeps cravings in check. Meals include healthy fats like avocado and olive oil, high-quality proteins, and plenty of low-carb vegetables.

2. Plant-Based Week (Week 2):

In the second week, I switch to a plant-based diet. This week is all about nourishing my body with whole foods like fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts. It’s a time to focus on fiber, vitamins, and minerals while giving my digestive system a break from animal products. Plant-based eating also supports sustainability, which is a key value in my wellness journey.

3. Raw Food Cleanse (Week 3):

The third week is dedicated to a raw food cleanse, where I eat only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. This cleanse helps reset my body, improves digestion, and boosts my energy levels. It’s a powerful way to detoxify and reconnect with the pure, natural flavors of whole foods.

The Benefits I’m Already Experiencing

Even though I’m just starting this new lifestyle, I’m already feeling the benefits. The variety keeps me engaged and excited about my meals, and I’m noticing improvements in my digestion, energy, and overall well-being. Each phase has its unique advantages, and by rotating them, I’m able to experience a wide range of health benefits without the drawbacks of any single diet.

What’s Next?

I’m committed to this 30-day cycle and will be documenting my experiences along the way. I’ll be sharing tips, recipes, and insights into how this lifestyle change is affecting my health and happiness. My goal is to inspire others to explore different ways of eating that align with their own health goals and preferences.

If you’re curious about how to integrate keto, plant-based, or raw food eating into your lifestyle, stay tuned! I’ll be sharing everything I learn on this journey, and I’m excited to have you along for the ride.

To Sum It Up

Changing your diet isn’t just about losing weight or following trends; it’s about finding what makes you feel your best, both physically and mentally. This new approach feels like the perfect balance for me, and I’m eager to see where it leads. Remember, it’s all about progress, not perfection. Here’s to a healthier, happier, and more balanced life!

Thank you for being part of my journey. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you as I continue to explore this exciting new chapter.
